Walnut Golfing

We had an awesome message today by Bob Jennings. He talked about not envying the things other people had, because of how blessed we truly are. He had a great analogy about a dung beetle rolling little balls of dung and taking it back to its hole. Likewise, we go around collecting earthly possesions to no gain.
For class afterwards, instead of continuing onto the second half of revelations, we watched a video of the teacher of the year. It was pretty sad and inspirational, telling of how easily impacted children are in their early years. Lunch was pretty minimal. I took my brother out for a little ice cream afterwards.
Back home, my brother and I went into the field, and used the golf clubs I picked up at the junk drop off yesterday. We only had one golf ball, so we started out just hitting the round walnuts on the ground, which would mostly always shatter. We put them on a rock, and practiced hitting them and not touching the rock. Finally, on a hard swing, I accidentally hit the rock, and it blew up. A small fragment of the rock flew into my eye, and I had to dig it out of the corner. Luckily, it was just at the surface, and didn't do any extra damage. Thanking God I was already, we went into the field and chipped the ball we had back and forth at each other.
