Easter Sunday

Easter sunday, and the day after I returned from Mexico Outreach. Life seems a lot different since I got back. The keyboard feels weird, my monitor seems big, and my mouse feels too sensitive. Chuch service today was very empty, since all the college students went home for vacation.
Caleb and Carilina (sp?) got baptized today, and Caleb gave his testimony in front of the english congregation. It was pretty interesting and funny because of the fact that he's really young. I don't know exactly how old, but maybe around seven or eight?
Pastor Gee came up to me and asked me to talk about my short term mexico mission in front of english service next week or something. I'll have to throw together a powerpoint of some sort.
At lunch, a few of the dudes decided to play basketball in the afternoon. After I got home, I cleaned my camera for a long time to get out the mexico sand and dust, and then got picked up by joseph at 1:30. We went to the La Rue basketball courts and played with other church people. It really smelled like cow there for some reason. I hadn't noticed that other times I've played there. Maybe it was the wind.
We got a four on five game going, and by the end it was pretty chaotic and everyone was just doing random stuff. Sho's getting old, but he's still got a few moves, which he thinks he can bust on me, which he actually can. One time I blocked him though, and our hips collided extremely hard. Collide. Do do do do do.
Why is easter so important?
1. It confirmed who Jesus said he was
2. It authenticated everything Jesus taught
John 8:25-30
25"Who are you?" they asked.
"Just what I have been claiming all along," Jesus replied. 26"I have much to say in judgment of you. But he who sent me is reliable, and what I have heard from him I tell the world."
27They did not understand that he was telling them about his Father. 28So Jesus said, "When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am the one I claim to be and that I do nothing on my own but speak just what the Father has taught me. 29The one who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what pleases him." 30Even as he spoke, many put their faith in him.
