I woke up early to take my brother to his basketball game in sacramento. We found it pretty easily and got there with some time to spare. They were going to play some team that lost very easily to the other davis team, Team B. In all, I took around 350 pictures during the game.
My brothers team got only 12 or so points when they played team B, which also got the same amount. I was shocked to learn that they scored so low in a 40 minute basketball game. My brothers previous most points scored was 2. Today he got 5.
They won 59-3 today. The other team didn't really have a chance from the beginning. They weren't wearing real uniforms, and most of them didn't really know how to play basketball. After a few minutes, they turned off the scoreboard to not discourage the other team. My brother had 12 steals, and quite a few assists. He's not too great shooting the ball though. Many times he stole the ball and had a clear path to the basket, only to miss when he got there.
We got back home before noon. I have tennis in a bit, and the worship team practice, and then a special youth group tonight. Busy day.
Joe and I played tennis after I got back from the game and ate lunch. He had just finished his job teaching for Dale. We started out just hitting around, and playing some points. We then proceeded to take off our shirts and wage war. The game we played involved playing rally points, and having the loser do 10 pushups every point he lost. Each of us did several hundred pushups.
After a few points, you start struggling. After a few more points, you start suffering. A few more points after that, and your body just wants to quit, but we just kept pushing into the ground, finishing the 10, and start playing again. By the end, it was hard hitting the ball across the net. Finally, we ended by playing two points worth 30 pushups each. I won both of them, but refused to let jose get all the benefits.
I did 60 pushups with him.
Dale walked over, and we all talked a bit, and finally we all split up and bounced.
I went to worship practice at 3:30. Anna and daniel didn't arrive till an hour or more later. They were late even by chinese standards. Anna and daniel shared responsibility on piano, and I played drums. The set went pretty well today.
There were two special couples speaking today, on the subject of "Passion for purity". It was a pretty beneficial night overall, and we all learned and grew from the deep conversations and message each one of them gave.
