I woke up around noon, and before eating any meals, I set out to buy a sim card to put into the phone patty gave me. Before leaving, I wanted to make sure I didn't need to drag anyone or anything along, so I called a few of the stores in Davis. They all said I only needed 25 bucks and the phone.

I left, and at a decision intersection, I decided not to go to the parrot cingular I called, but the at&t wireless cingular near borders. I thought maybe this would increase my chances of not having to pay the 25 bucks, since it's not a small third party business but an official cingular store.

On the way, there was a lady crossing the street that took about an hour. The cars behind me were getting impatient, but I couldn't step out and gently carry her across, so I just waited it out. I took a picture of her though, since I've never seen a human move so slowly in my life.

In the parking lot outside the store, there was an audi that was leaving. The kid put his stuff in the trunk, and without closing the trunk, he jumped into the car and the dad started back out. Miraculously, the trunk closed by itself! Ok. Now I want an audi.

In the store, the replacement took only a few minutes and a few bits of information. As I was giving the person the money, they told me it would be free this time, since it was just my first time getting a replacement. I guess my sudden change of plans really did pay off. The third party stores would have definately charged me the fee.

I finally have a cell again.
